Criteria for higher-skilled worker levy by sector

The requirements your worker must meet to be on the higher-skilled levy rate are different for each sector:

For construction sector

Your worker can get higher-skilled status by completing one of the four upgrading pathways.

For process sector

Your worker can get higher-skilled status through one of the three upgrading pathways.

For manufacturing, marine shipyard, or services sector

You need to apply to convert your worker to higher-skilled levy, and upload a copy of the worker’s educational or trade test certificates.

Harbour craft industry

For the harbor craft industry, you need to apply to convert your worker to a higher-skilled levy and upload a copy of the trade certificate.

For non-English documents, you must submit a copy of the original document and an English translation. The translation can be done by a translation service provider.
